Plugin Manager Help - Ship Creator - Configuration
To open the configuation Dialog, goto the Settings menu and select the configure options.
This is where you can set all the options to use in the program.
- Language: This is the language the Ship Creator is in, changing the language will change all the display text to another language.
- X3 Directory: This is the directory where X3 is located, this is used to read data from X3, like the Text and Types files for various things.
- Generate Update File: This allows the Ship Creator to generate the update dat file for auto updating of ships, this is created when you save the current ship.
- Get Text On Startup: This options reads all the text from the current X3 Directory when you load the program, it will delay the loading of the program for a few seconds, but will allow you to see the ship names when importing ship data or via the import wizard instead of just the ship id.
- Get From T Directory: This options updates all the files from the current t directory as well, X3 Directory/t, The previous options has to be enabled for this to work.
- Default Author: This option allows you to set the default author for any new packages so you dont have to keep typing them.
- Web Address: This option allows you to set the default web address for any new packages so you dont have to keep typing them.
- Web Mirror 1: This option allows you to set the default mirror address, 1 of 2, for any new packages so you dont have to keep typing them.
- Web Mirror 2: This option allows you to set the default mirror address, 2 of 2, for any new packages so you dont have to keep typing them.
Default directories are the directories where any file dialogs will start in to make it quicker to navigate to the correct place.
- Mod Directory: The directory to first check for any mod files, ie .cat/.dat files, used for the Import Wizard
- Model Directory: The directory where any model files might be, .bob, .bod, etc. Used for scenes and adding models.
- Types Directory: The directory to find types files, when importing TShips, TCockpits, Dummies, etc.
- Save Directory: The directory to save the packages too
- Text Directory: The directory that holds the text files, used when importing text files.
- Script Directory: The directory to find scripts, used when adding scripts to thep ackage.
This allows you to convert bod files into smalelr bob files automatically when you create the ship package.
- Enable: Turns the option on so it converts them when you save
- Include Scene Files: This allows converting of scene files as well, however, most of the time scene files have to be in bod files, so only enable this if you really know what your doing.
- X2bc Path: X2BC is the external program used to convert the files, this needs to be installed to work it, select the exe file so it can be run via the program when it needs to. Without this, the conversion wont work.
